Birthday celebration

Yesterday was my birthday. I had a lovely day. Several members of my family wished me. Many of my friends from school and college wished me. Probably for the first time in my life I did not have cake or payasam for my birthday. I was planning to go to the mall and buy cake on the way back from the mall. Birthday Payasam

Today is my husband's birthday. I made this payasam. It is the parippu payasam. I made it with lentils, jaggery, milk, ghee, cashews and raisins. My husband is visiting chicago to celebrate his birthday with his brother who is visiting from India to visit his daughter who is in Chicago. Our son is also in Chicago. But I just made this payasam.
