Chrysalis

The butterfly starts it's life as a larvae. Then it becomes a pupa. Then it becomes a caterpillar. Then it becomes a butterfly. The stage of the pupa comes before the stage of the butterfly. During this time the caterpillar is covered in a hard outer cover and this stage is also known as chrysalis. Chrysalis is such a poetic name. One of the first after school Christian programs I took my kids to had Holly Toney talk of a butterfly. How the larvae becomes a butterfly. The butterfly has colorful wings to fly. Holly explained it so beautifully to the kids. I felt so inspired to want to be like a butterfly. The program was called Lords army. I took Jeremiah and Joshua for it. They had to memorize Bible verses. Joshua was under age to be in it. You had to be kindergarten and up I think. But Joshua was 3 or so. He memorized all the verses although he was underage. Holly gave Joshua a special prize. Reposting!
