Isaiah 9: 6 (Reposting)

"For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 Continuing with my plan that I started last Saturday to have a bible study in my blog. This verse from Isaiah foretells the characteristics of the Messiah to be born. The characteristics are 1. The government will rest upon His shoulder. 2. He will be called wonderful counsellor. 3. He will be called Mighty God 4. He will be called Everlasting Father 5. He will be called Prince of peace. Jesus is our wonderful counsellor. We can take all our concerns to God in prayer. Jesus is eager and willing to help us. Jesus is our Mighty God. He is able to save us. Jesus is our loving father. We can run to Jesus as to a loving father. Jesus gives us peace. We can have peace in our heart. As we meditate on this verse what can we pray about? _ We can thank God for being our wonderful counselor. _ We can tell God about the concerns we face in our life and seek guidance. _ We can praise God for being mighty. _ We can ask God to help us in our trials. _ We can ask God to bless us with joy, and peace.
