Saree and memories of Rani Pink
Hi all, I bought a saree during the holiday which arrived today. There was new year sales going on at the time and i found a ton of great deals. I ordered this. This color may seem very bright to you. But it is Rani Pink.
For the past few years the words Rani pink were always seen on my phone when I searched for Indian clothes.
It was this very bright pink.
But a few days ago I thought about the word Rani.
Rani means queen.
In my school lots of kids had the name Rani after their real name.
One such example is usha Rani.
A girl in my school was usha Rani.
In my earliest childhood my parents neighbor jayaprakash uncle went to Germany on a work related trip.
When he came back he brought me a very pretty doll.
One day my father was talking to me.
My father asked me my doll's name.
I did not have a name for my doll.
Then my father said let's name her Rani.
So my doll became Rani.
In those days like in 70's Rani was also just a name without being attached to another name as in usha Rani.
Then years later I outgrew dolls grew up married had kids now living in us and searching for Indian clothes online found Rani pink saree or Rani pink half saree or sharara every once in a while.
At first I dismissed it.
Then just a few days ago I remembered how my father named my doll Rani.
So Rani pink has that significance.
So I thought Rani pink is a special color.
So this Sunday or Monday I just typed in Rani pink kancheepuram saree and this saree in pink and gold came up for 26.87 in mirraw. The final price was $51 something.
