Bangles

This set is such a nice set since it is interspersed with gemstone bangles and pearl bangles. This is available as a set from etsy.
This type of bangles are very traditional and are from Punjab or West Bengal.
I love bangles a lot. I uploaded pictures of these bangles from etsy. Most of these are pink bangles. They look great with traditional indian outfits. I like the pastel pink ones a lot. They would look so nice with a pastel pink chickankari lehenga and matching nailpolish. Some of these have bangles to wear between a few pink bangles. I hope you like these bangles. I hope you have a lovely day!

Goa, Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi

Hi all, I took a break from blogging for the past two months. I am hoping to start blogging regularly again. I really like to blog. Here is a speech I said recently in Toastmasters club. Hope you will enjoy reading this. Dear fellow Toastmasters Today I would like to give a speech about places to visit in India. The first place I would like to talk about is Goa. Goa is the smallest Indian state. It is on the western coa st of India and has as its border on one side the Arabian sea. The coast line is 100 metres long. As a result there are a lot of beaches along the coastline. My most significant memory of Goa is a restaurant in a boat. the boat is a restaurant, and you have to walk on a wooden plank to reach the restaurant. Inside the boat it is like a typical restaurant with lots of tables and chairs. If you get to sit at a table near the window of the boat you see lights, maybe the moonlight or lights from the restaurant glistening on the water. Goa has a unique history in that it is a Portuguese colony. Portugal colonised Goa from 1510 to 1961 when India annexed goa. Because it was colonised by the Portuguese for several centuries it has a very fusion culture that includes traditional Indian and western culture signified by portuguese. Another cool thing about Goa is the people there and the way they dress. You would expect old people out on a stroll to be wearing casual Indian clothes or some type of casual clothing. But there are old people in Goa who go for walks wearing suits and dresses. I was so surprised to see this because I had never seen anyone go for a walk wearing a suit. This is due to the Portuguese influence. Another memory was visiting the Bom Jesus Cathedral. We went on a car and travelled for what seemed like a long time. Finally we saw this huge stone cathedral and it had rich intricate carvings in its interior. It is major Catholic pilgrimage center. in the city itself there are quaint boutiques for shopping and cobblestone pathways to walk on. Another place I have visited in India is bangalore. Bangalore is known as the garden city of India and is the capital of the southern Indian state of karnataka. It has a very cosmopolitan feel about it. It has very salubrious weather due to Bangalore being 3000 feet above sea level. we stayed in a hotel called hotel geo and we shopped in the various shopping areas of bangalore and visited the restaurants of bangalore which are many. Today Bangalore is known as the silicon valley of India due to it being the center of the IT industry of India and is the most populous city of South India. A nearby city is mysore. in Mysore we visited a very large palace. There were great halls, grand doorways and balconeys and I specifically remember a very intricately carved silver door in that palace. I remember visiting athe vrindavan gardens which had a lot of fountains. The entire area was like a park with pathways winding around and fountains of varying sizes alongside the paths. we could look at the fountains and walk. The fountains are lit in the evening. Another place I have visited in India is Mumbai, mumbai is the commercial capital of india. It is a bustling metropolis and is the capital of the central india state of maharashtra. It is home to the Bollywood film industry and therefore the most famous movie stars of India live in the upscale neighborhoods of mumbai. It also has a lot of billionaires. It is comparable to New york. We lived in a quiet neighborhood of Malabar hill during our visit and it was a sanctuary of quiet in the hustle of the rest of mumbai. I think our time in Mumbai was spent shopping. The last place I would like to mention is New Delhi. I visited New Delhi as a child with my parents but also lived there for four years after my marriage and one year before my marriage because my first job was in New delhi. I also did my first year undergrad in New delhi. I read a book about New Delhi which said this city has a very ancient layered history. It was the capital of the ancient royal dynasty the pandavas at which time it was known as indraprastha. It was also the capital of many other dynasties such as the Afghan and mughal. The British also made new Delhi the capital. And New Delhi is the capital of democratic India too. Taj Mahal one of the seven wonders of the world is a marble monument in the neighboring city of Agra. New Delhi has many ancient forts, monuments, and historic buildings built during the mughal era, the afghan era and during british colonialism. It also has modern buildings. The Rashtrapati Bhavan is located here. There are wonderful places to shop in New Delhi such as emporiums that showcase the diverse artistic heritage of India in addition to malls. During the time I lived in New Delhi I loved wandering through Connaught place which is right in the middle of New Delhi and has lots of wonderful places to shop. Connaught place was built during British colonial times and features lots and lots of white pillars. There are lots of stores cafes and restaurants. Busy shopping center featuring colonial-era buildings with galleries, cafes and restaurants. Another place I remember is the Central Cottage Industries Emporium (CCIE), also known as the Cottage and Cottage Emporium, which is an Indian Government owned arts and crafts flagship department store and cultural center in Janpath, New Delhi, India. I used to visit this store regularly to look at and buy the various art and crafts pottery, fabrics, clothes, jewelry. I used to find it very magical in the store with so much to see and understand. Palika Bazar is an underground shopping place where you enter through a door which is on the same level as the road but you take steps downstairs and there is tons of stores that sell clothes handbags. India has 28 states and 8 union territories. The states are divided on a linguistic basis with each state having a distinct language with its own script and literature. To the extend culture is influenced by language there are differences in culture too. So visiting the different states gives us entirely different experience although India has unity that connects the diverse states. Indian culture is often described as unity in diversity.
