Outfits inspired by the colors of the Indian Flag.
Today is August 15.
It is India's independence day.
I love the Tricolor flag and Tri color outfits. Given on this page are outfits inspired by the colors on the Indian flag which I got from the internet.
The colors of an Indian flag are saffron, white and green. The saffron stands for renunciation and sacrifice. The white stands for light. The green stands for plant life and the soil of India.
The wheel in the flag is blue and is known as Ashok chakra.
The Ashok chakra or Ashok's wheel is from ancient India.
Ashoka was a great emporor of ancient India who converted to Buddhism.
He belonged to the Maurya dynasty.
The Ashok Chakra symbolises the path of dharma according to Buddhism and dharma is duty or moral responsibilities and Ashoka Chakra is the Dharma Chakra. Chakra means wheel. I read in the internet that the Dharma Chakra is the first teaching of the Buddha. The Dharma Chakra came to be known as the Ashoka Chakra because it appears on a number of edicts of Ashoka.
Happy Independence Day!
