My Little Angel memory book page

I am organizing all of my son's pictures and I made this with one of my favorite pictures of him.
I used paper, stickers, washi tape and gold calligraphy pen to get this look.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Fleece blanket embellished with Pom-poms

I hope your day has been lovely so far. Mine has been amazingly lovely so far. Today I want to share with you about how I embellished a pale pink throw/blanket we had with pink and white pom-poms that I made earlier.
I just randomly sewed on these pom-poms that I made earlier to the pale pink blanket and placed the blanket on the sofa in the family room.
Also, yesterday I took more pics of the sequin pillow but could not share since they were not downloading onto the computer. I took these pictures by bringing the pillow near the door where there was more light.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Sequin Pillow

Yesterday, I sewed sequins onto this pillow. I had painted the designs on it earlier.
We had a nice weekend except for a storm in the evening yesterday. While the storm was going on I sewed these sequins. One thing I have learned about sewing sequins is that the color of the thread should be the same as the color of the sequins. It looks prettier that way.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Sunday Breakfast

Being a Syrian Christian from Kerala, India, every once in a while I have to make Kozhikkotta. Basically, Kozhikkotta is a dumpling made of rice flour with a filling of coconut and sugar.
While growing up it was an after-school snack sometimes. We had it with watermelon.
What did you have for breakfast today?

Flowering tree and daffodils

This is the tree in my yard from where I got the flowering branches which I showed on Tuesday. It is so pretty.
There are a lot of cream and yellow daffodils in our front yard. So I brought them in and set it in the family room.
The moss-covered balls which I first kept on the mantel are on this table now. I think I like this better. Have a great weekend!

Spring Mantel 2

Here is how my mantel looks today. I really love decorating my mantel. Yesterday I covered a bird-house and some plastic balls with moss and kept it on the mantel, but I was not happy with that look. I had made blue paper flowers last summer, and I had covered metal rings that come with Christmas wreaths with green yarn. So this morning I attached the flowers to the rings and hung them; one with ribbon and one with yarn and a home-made pom-pom.
For Christmas 2012 I covered lots of jars with silver and blue glitter and so I put some blue flowers in those jars and kept that also on the mantel.
I like this look much better than the moss one. But I am not going to let go of the moss bird- house and moss balls. I will work on it some more and show it later.
Do you like decorating your mantel? I hope you have a wonderful day!

Spring mantel

This is how our mantel looks like now.
I made the flowers on the wreath with felt. I had this same wreath for Christmas here but like it enough so I did not take it out when I put away the Christmas decorations. I covered a wood bird house that I bought from Joanne's for a dollar and covered it with moss I bought from Hobby Lobby. I also covered some plastic balls that were in my house with moss.
How have you decorated your spring mantel? I hope you have a blessed day!

Flowering Branches

I love flowering branches. Just before Easter when I checked in Target and Hobby Lobby it cost around $9.00 per branch. But this morning when I looked in my yard I found an entire tree filled with branches full of white flowers. It was so pretty. So I brought them inside and kept it on our coffee table.
Do you like flowering branches? Have a wonderful day!
