Table Topics

Hi all, I usually attend Toastmasters club meetings on Tuesdays. Yesterday I attended the meeting and answered two table topics questions. The first question was about who I would invite to a dinner. I was strongly feeling like saying I would invite my 10th grade classmates from my school. Because I love them all. However I said I would invite great women writers to have a conversation and pick their brains on how to be great writers. I got the idea of picking brains from an email sent to me about great writer's views on writing sent to me by my cousin Anupa. The second question I answered was about going to space. I said space was this dark, expansive place with stars, constellations, galaxies, planets and meteors. Yet earth was a place of trees, flowers, oceans, mountains, hills, valleys, houses, and streets etc. We teach children to reach for the stars in the sense of having high accomplishments. I would like to have high accomplishments and in that sense reach for the stars but I would not like to literally go to space. These were my two answers. My role was that of Speech Evaluation. So I tried to give an evaluation based on what the speaker excelled at, what the speaker could work on and what the speaker could do to challenge herself. I enjoyed the meeting yesterday!
