Micah 5:2

But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days. Micah 5: 2 This verse from the old testament book of Micah says that long before Jesus was actually born 2000 years ago in Bethlehem it was foretold that Bethlehem would be the birthplace of Jesus. Bethlehem is not a great bustling city. It is a small, insignificant place. So Bethlehem being the birthplace of Jesus probably means God can be found in small places too. Micah 's words about Bethlehem being the birthplace of Jesus was fulfilled when Jesus was born in Bethlehem. It just so happened that Mary and Joseph travelled to Bethlehem around the time of Jesus being about to be born and while they were there Jesus was born thus fulfilling the words of Micah although both of them were residents of Nazareth This verse also shows us that God's word is true. God's word about Bethlehem being the birthplace of Jesus came true. So if you are praying to God about something and there is no answer I would encourage you to keep praying because God's words are true. When Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem the shepherds in Bethlehem were informed about the birth of Jesus. The shepherds were told by angels "fear not." This message of "fear not" is so relevant today. Jesus birth is good news of great joy. So we can be fearless. This is what I got out of this verse. I also referred to the AI overview about this verse in my phone. This verse helps me really believe the words in the Bible. Because what was written about Bethlehem ages ago was fulfilled. Like when it says blessed are the pure in heart they will see God this verse actually means that if we are pure in heart we can see God. What can we pray about as we meditate on this verse that tells us about the birthplace of Christ. _We can thank God for giving us Jesus 2000 years ago in Bethlehem. _We can thank God that Jesus helps us be fearless. _We can thank God that God's words come true and we can believe. _God's message to the shepherds when Jesus was born is God's message to us too. "Fear not I bring you good news of great joy." Please do share your thoughts about this verse in the comments. 75 days to Christmas
