Maundy Thursday

Yesterday being Maundy Thursday I made this which is a traditional way of observing this day in the community I am from in India. This is made with coconut milk and melted jaggery. I also added a piece of the palm leaf I got from church on Sunday into this. A lot of this is made on Thursday so all of good friday you can drink this.

I bought these plushies from walgreens this past wednesday. As you can see the easter celebration in our family is a blend of east and west--remembered traditions from India and easter celebrations in the US. I hope you have a lovely day!
