Have you ever waited in a doctor's office twiddling your fingers with a vacant feeling in your heart.

I recommend observation. 

Observe the color of the walls. 

The flowers on the nurses desk. 

The child playing at the play area nearby and parents patiently watching. 

Thevmannerisms of the man twitching his face at regular intervals. 

The old  persin with the walker moving slowly. 

I guarantee the seconds will move very quickly and before you know it you will be out of the doctor's room. 

Once you get home as you start writing your journey you will have tons to write about all you observed. 

Yes dear friends, observation is a tool that will yield great material for writing if you like writing. 

But it is not just in writing that you will get benefits from observation. 

You will get benefits for observation no matter what your field of inquiry is. 

If you are a botanist you can observe the color texture shape and other characteristics of flora and fauna to yield data in the field of botany. 

But it is not just on earth you can use observation. 

You can use it to study the heavens. 

The old wise people knew it. 

Why else is a telescope located in an observatory. 

Observatory is a place from where you can observe. 

The vast amount of knowledge about the heavens the planets the solar system etc is from observation. 

Even medical science has grown with the tool of observation. 

A disease is diagnosed on the basis of observation of symptoms. 

The heart rate, the pulse rate, the texture of skin, working of reflexes etc are observation data that tells us about our health. 

So no matter what your profession is you can use observation to yield valuable data.
